The Million Penny Project

Making lemonade out of recessionary lemons.

Carlos Peña, the president and creative director of Pumped, a terrific Miami agency, had a great idea for a terrible economy: If you can’t collect dollars for worthy causes, why not ask for pennies? After all, a million of them equals $10,000 for a homeless shelter. We designed and shot the creative in Miami, the video was edited here in San Francisco (heartfelt thanks to Bonfire Labs), and, together, we all shared that year’s National Gold ADDY for interactive after winning Best of Show/Interactive in the Miami ad show.
